Canopy Crown is the first island in V4 and the kindest teacher. Its paths lead from a rain dock to an old cedar, a glowing hollow, a cloud stream, a high lookout, and a fallen nursery. Mote stops to inspect the things that seem alive in the rain.
The island teaches a simple language. Turn a dial until it locks green. Stomp the bright core it reveals. Follow the glowing vine home. By the time the vault opens, you already know every word Mossback needs.
The route to Mossback
Collect eight route coins and stomp four training cores. Three practice dials wait at the Fallen Nursery, Root-Light approach, and Old Cedar. Use them before entering the vault.
Inside, repeat the repair at the west, east, and rear stations. Each target is different. The green lock is the answer. After each stomp, return to Mossback and hold the repair action until one phase is complete.
Watch your treads: the vault contains moving saws. They are obstacles, not additional research opportunities.
Who lives here?
Raincap Gliders hop and sail close to the ground. Bluefoil Butterflies follow pollinator loops through the forest. The two species have different movement, not just different colors.
How Canopy Crown works
The island profile contains six landmarks, four saved ecology readings, two fauna species, and three authored phenomenon reports.
The saved readings are canopy cover, stream clarity, pollinators, and deadwood habitat. Choices can move them, and elapsed days can pull them toward their defaults for up to seven days. They do not directly change the rendered rain, light, terrain, or animals.
The Raincap Glider base profile has four agents, a 58-unit territory, and a nine-unit reaction radius. The Bluefoil Butterfly base profile has ten agents. Device quality can reduce both counts. One worker updates the active island’s two species at 10 Hz.
The named reports are selected from eligible ecology values and a daily hash. Their stored cooldown values are not currently enforced by the selector.
