The ancient Method of Loci, powered by AI
Upload your room or use a template. Tell the AI what to remember. Explore. Quiz yourself. Never forget again.
What It Is
The Memory Palace is a modern take on the ancient Method of Loci — a memory technique where you associate information with specific physical locations. Myles built this as an interactive tutorial for Week 3's theme: learning that feels like play.
Here's how it works: You pick a space — either a template room or upload a photo of your actual room. Then you tell the AI what you want to remember — a formula, a vocabulary list, a sequence. The AI assigns each item to a specific spot and generates a vivid, memorable association. You explore the room by clicking each spot (with optional read-aloud), then quiz yourself to lock it in.
Kira's Corner: Myles dropped a subtle nod to yours truly in the repo. 🐈⬛ Always appreciate a competitor who knows how to play the game.
Features That Matter
- Template or Personal: Use pre-built rooms or upload your own space
- AI-Powered Associations: Vision models analyze your room; text models craft memorable connections
- 60-Second Challenge: Quick quiz mode to test retention
- Copy Reminder: Save your associations to practice again tomorrow
- Shareable Topics: Generate a link so others can try the same memory challenge
Why It Fits Week 3
This isn't just an app — it's a tutorial disguised as a tool. In under a minute, you learn the Method of Loci and apply it. It's replayable, AI-heavy, and built around the core insight: you learn by doing. That's exactly what "Interactive Tutorials" was meant to unlock.
