The road is only half the scene
Hold the throttle as the next corner comes into view. Above the track, fighters and larger ships trade fire. Debris and falling structures can turn a familiar stretch of road into a new problem.
SciFi Racer takes inspiration from F-Zero, with four familiar machines and a fast, demanding race around narrow courses. This version puts them in a cartoon junkyard war zone, with shipwrecks, industrial towers, and a battle overhead.
Your power meter measures how much punishment the machine can take. Walls and hazards eat into it. Pit areas restore power. Complete a lap to earn a Super Jet charge, then spend it where you have room to move.
Learn a course, then enter the league
Practice gives you five laps on Mute City I, Big Blue, Sand Ocean, Death Wind I, Silence, or White Land I. Race alone or choose a rival machine. Silence uses an adapted loop; White Land is available in Practice only.
Standard Knight League runs through the first five courses in that order. Race against 19 rivals and meet the position cutoff on each lap to stay in. The cutoff tightens from the top 15 on lap one to the top three at the finish. Points and spare machines carry through the league. Queen and King leagues are not available in this build.
Take your first five laps
- Choose a machine. Blue Falcon is the balanced starting choice; the other three trade speed, acceleration, grip, and durability.
- Scroll down to Practice Course and choose Mute City I. Leave the rival set to No Rival while you learn the bends.
- Select Start Practice. Watch or skip the course intro, then hold the throttle to get moving.
- Brake before tight corners, watch your power, and save the Super Jet for a clear stretch. How to Race opens the guide and practice drills.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Left / Right or A / D | Steer. |
| Up or W | Hold the throttle. |
| Down or S | Brake. |
| Space | Use a Super Jet charge. |
| Escape | Pause or resume the race. |
Touch: steer with your left thumb. Hold GO with your right thumb and slide to BRAKE or JET as needed. Lift to release. The controls support portrait and landscape play; the pause button sits beside the race display.
Settings: remap keyboard controls or enable steering and braking assists. Reduced FX lowers visual effects, and the audio buttons let you turn sound on or off.
A different view around the next bend
Change the machine. Try the lap again.
Open Optional Machine Tuning to add top speed, acceleration, corner control, or shielding. Tuning applies to Practice. Leave the points unspent to use the stock machine.
Practice records separate clean runs from runs with assists or tuning. Records, control settings, and machine tuning are stored in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data removes them.

Three.js draws the 3D scene through WebGL. The models were made with Blender, with concept art, paint, and route illustrations generated using OpenAI ImageGen. JavaScript handles the racing, while procedural audio creates sound as you play.
The game is an evolving project. The six Practice courses and Standard Knight League are the playable routes in this build.
