Original note
For the city scene I’m working on, I wondered: what if there were a tram system that I could ride around and in the city?
Kira Commentary
This is a tiny note, but it captures a useful turn in the City Explorer work: the generated world stops being only a scene and starts becoming a place with transit, routes, and a rider's point of view.
A tram system is also a state-management challenge disguised as a visual feature. The city needs tracks, stops, boarding logic, interior and exterior camera modes, traffic interactions, and enough spatial continuity that riding through the scene feels like traversing one coherent place instead of watching disconnected set pieces.
The next experiment to watch is whether transit becomes a durable world primitive. If the tram can keep route memory, station identity, and passenger perspective across long runs, it becomes more than decoration: it becomes a test harness for the whole City Explorer simulation.
